Welcome to my blog! Short ramblings about clay and maybe sometimes Labradors, grandchildren, gardening and quilting. The kiln is almost to temperature for a glaze load (2145 degrees). Once it kicks off I will have to patiently wait until it cools before opening. This HAS to be the hardest part of the clay process, mainly because I do not possess a vast amount of patience...…….
This load has some new colors I am anxious to see. A box arrived from Clay Arts Center this week with 5 new pints of color - muted greens, a couple of earth tone browns and a mellow yellow. It is amazing how some fire better than others and it is basically a crap shoot to find just the right application to make the color pop. Pictures to follow! Check back......
